Welcome Starrlett Johnson!
The NC Alliance for Health is pleased to announce the selection of Starrlett Johnson as NCAH’s Obesity Policy Coordinator.
A native Californian, Starrlett joins the Alliance after 11 years living in Charlotte, NC. She received a B.A. degree in criminal justice from UNC Charlotte and went on to receive a Global M.A. in international relations from Webster University. She is now pursuing her PhD in public policy and administration with a focus on health policy from Walden University. Starrlett brings to the Alliance a diverse professional background, part of which stems from her time with the Office of Policy and Prevention at the Mecklenburg County Health Department where she assisted with the evaluation and implementation process of the Healthy Corner Store Initiative. She joined the United States Air Force in 1998, where she served 8 years as a nuclear security manager. Her time in the Air Force also took her around the world as a vocalist with the elite Tops in Blue troupe. Outside of her academic and professional career Starrlett enjoys international travel and interior design.
We are thrilled to have Starrlett on board and we know that you all will join us in welcoming her to the NCAH family. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org and 919.463.8329.
