Support Funding to Reduce Health Disparities, Prevent Chronic Disease, and Promote Health

The North Carolina General Assembly is discussing the budget. This year, NCAH’s funding requests include:

  • $3 million in additional recurring funding for the Feeding the Carolinas food banks
  • $50,000 to develop a set of statewide standard operating procedures and recommended best practices for unserved prepared food recovery
  • $3 million in additional recurring funding for QuitlineNC
  • $17 million in recurring funding for tobacco use prevention programs
  • Restore ROAP funding

Take action today to ask your legislators to prioritize this critical funding as they draft the budget. These funding requests will reduce health disparities, prevent chronic disease, and promote health for all North Carolinians.
