Support Emergency School Meal Funding

North Carolina’s school nutrition programs are losing $7 million per week due to lost local revenue during COVID-19. They’re working on the front lines serving 800,000 meals per week to our most vulnerable children.

1. School nutrition programs rely on sales revenue to operate, which they aren’t getting right now. Unless the General Assembly acts now, half of the programs will close within the month, leaving many kids without meals.

2. 60% of NC kids rely on school meals to meet their nutritional needs. Too many will go hungry if the General Assembly doesn’t provide emergency funding to school nutrition programs.

3. School nutrition workers are heroes on the front lines! They need immediate emergency funding to keep on serving our smallest super heroes.
