Happy Thanksgiving

Dear NCAH Members and Partners,

There are more than 349 food deserts in North Carolina. That means this Thanksgiving, and every day of the year, 1.5 million North Carolinians do not have access to the healthy, affordable foods they need, including sweet potatoes!

NCAH is working to eliminate food deserts in our state. Some progress has been made, but we need your help.

This year, the NC House passed HB 250, The Healthy Food Small Retailer/Corner Store Act. Next year, NCAH will continue to work to ensure the $1 million appropriation for HB 250 is included in the state budget.

Please consider making a donation to NCAH to help us continue our efforts to prevent obesity in North Carolina.

We appreciate your support, and hope you have a wonderful and healthy Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,

Pam Seamans
Executive Director
NC Alliance for Health
